Meet The Board
Jason Fournier - President
Jason Fournier hails from the east coast where he played collegiate lacrosse at Division III Maine Maritime Academy. He was a longtime coach at Eastlake Lacrosse and was the founder of our K-2 program in 2009. Jason hung up his whistle after coaching for Eastlake through his son's 8th grade year because, "it was time for Preston to actually have a qualified coach". He served as our board Vice President for one year before taking over the role as President in 2018. One of his greatest achievements while with Eastlake has been the establishment of our girls program, as he believes that creating a unified program that serves all of the young athletes within our program feeder area boosts the participation and enthusiasm for our program as a whole
Jan Karachale - Boys Vice President
Jan played lacrosse in the MCLA at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo back when bucket helmets were a thing. He started coaching for Eastlake in 2012 and has been on the board as Vice President since 2018. Being involved in youth lacrosse is both his hobby and his passion and he looks forward to growing the sport of lacrosse on the plateau.
Steve Brozinik - Girls Vice President
Chris O'Dougherty - Boys Program Director, Head Coach
Jason Montoya - Boys Program Director, Head Coach
Lena Hanson - Girls Program Director, Head Coach
Al Yost - Treasurer
A native of the great state of Idaho, Al played golf and baseball in high school. He has been an active parent in Eastlake Lacrosse for the past 8 years. Al and his wife, Stacey, are the proud parents of four children with their youngest being a member of the High School Varsity Lacrosse program. Al loves lacrosse as it is the perfect blend of football and soccer, it demands a complete commitment to teamwork, and teaches discipline and fitness.
Aaron Drake - Secretary
Aaron Drake, secretary of the board. Aaron fell in love with the excitement and athleticism of lacrosse after two lackluster seasons of T-Ball with his son Logan. Combining the fast pace of hockey and the strategy and teamwork of soccer, lacrosse is fun to play and fun to watch. After one practice the Drake family was hooked and that was the last time Logan built an infield sandcastle, or picked dandelions in right field. Aaron is proud to be serving the Eastlake club, and working hard to show why lacrosse is the fastest growing game on two feet.
Scott Page - Boys High School Coordinator
Allison Grassi - Girls High School Coordinator
Emily Duguid - Facilities Coordinator
Emily Duguid is the parent volunteer responsible for scheduling athletic fields. This role requires relationship building with cities and King County, following their field request processes, and allocating the fields we are granted to our 11 teams, a task she describes as trying to complete a puzzle when you already know you have too many pieces! Emily is a full time Mom to two youth lacrosse players in 6th and 7th grade. Prior to moving to the Seattle region from New Zealand for husband Ryan's work, Emily worked in global human resources for Hewlett Packard, and welcomes the opportunity to flex her project and program management muscles in her volunteer roles for LWSD PTSA and Eastlake Lacrosse.
Amy Zimney - Uniform & Spirit Wear
Wendy Call - Equipment Coordinator
Steve Maule - Fundraising Coordinator
Brad Shaw - Ombudsman
I learned about lacrosse when my 2nd grade twins boys attended an Eastlake lacrosse intro day. As a parent of 2 defenders I was awarded assistant coach duties helping corale elementary kiddos. I stepped down shortly after when my boys informed me they knew more about lacrosse than I, and so switched to volunteering on the board where I served as VP before transitioning to the President position for 2 years. I happily passed my gavel to Jason last May and am enjoying my behind the scenes position. My favorite Eastlake memory is watching lacrosse become an integral part of our family and being a part of its growth in the LWSD.
